What is Mobile Ticketing?
Mobile ticketing is an alternative ticketing method to paper tickets or printed coupons. Mobile tickets can be sold almost anywhere where tickets are sold. The tickets are also very secure and extra security measures can be put in place to reduce fraud. Mobile ticketing enables customers to recieve a barcode and unique pin number to their mobile phone which can then be redeemed at the event. The barcode is compatible on almost every mobile phone and consists of a series of vertical black lines and white spaces of variable width, which represent numbers. In turn, these are read (or decoded) by a barcode reader to extract the information they hold. If a phone cannot produce a barcode, a unique pin number is always provided.
